SYNNECTA Learnshops
Lively places of complex learning
The Learnshop is a form of group learning in which a set number of participants work on and learn about a concrete subject field together.
Learnshops take two or three days, are always held at the same location, and at the same time. They are structured around plenary meetings and parallel workshop units. Thus, individual learning and organizational learning can be inter-connected at many different levels.
Individuals learn, Organizations learn
A thematic main focus (e.g., management, change, project management) forms the basis for diverse Learnshops with a wide range of subjects and offers a protected space for individual learning. Participants remain in control of their learning path throughout the Learnshop.
The diversity of the current learning and change processes in the corporation are mirrored by the respective Learnshop levels and makes the participants responsible for their personal learning process. Furthermore, plenary phases provide the opportunity to address common subjects and utilize community-inspiring elements. This links individual learning in small groups to large group learning and makes it possible to tap the benefits of both forms of learning.
Learnshops follow their own timing
The Learnshops' rapid succession of individual and group events corresponds to the dynamics and diversity of today's corporate reality. Learnshops set a swift, but leisurely beat; they call for speed while at the same time demonstrating the opportunities provided by slowing-down. Evening and night events are set aside to experiment with learning and the culture of learning producing seriousness and fun, games and observation, contemplation and action.
Dynamism from polarity
Learnshops integrate diverse polarities and benefit from their inherent tension:
